According to Microsoft employee Robert Morgan, future iterations of Windows, including Windows 8, could support a 128-bit architecture. Two weeks ago his now defunct LinkedIn profile disclosed that he had been working on "research and development projects including 128-bit architecture compatibility with the Windows 8 kernel and Windows 9 project plan". An interview with Robert Morgan, who has been with the company since 2002, is expected to appear on Windows 8 News within the coming days, So maybe more news on what to expect from the next version of Windows, codenamed Chirdori.

Windows 7 is less than 2 weeks away and already people are talking about plans for Windows 8? lol! Btw, I'm defiantly sure they're not ready for 128 bit. Windows 9 will be a much much better time to staqrt thinking about 128 bit. I still have a computer that allows 16 bit!

I just can say: Amd's downcomnpatibility ftw But i think for a higher bit version even AMD users need a new Motherboard AND a new cpu. And maybe even new RAMs
