So Thoosje is planning to redo the forum. And we want suggestions for what should be added in the next version of the forum. I think this is an important suggestion for the next version: Anti Double post mod: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/8541Quote: This hack allows you to disable double posts.
You are able to enable and disable the hack at any time. You can allow/disallow administrators to make double posts and allow/disallow moderators to make double posts.
There are two possibilities when a double post attempt is detected: either the post can be merged automatically with the previous message (it is possible to define a separator) or you can send an error message.
You can set a time during which it is not possible to do the double post. After that, the member can post, even if he is the author of the latest message of the topic.

you guys have a saying here, it goes something like, most people don't know Jack!, forums have lots of little letters and unfamiliar shapes, it takes a while to get used to them, so why not make that process easier, A good example of how NOT to run a forum is the Stealthbot.net forums, Steathbot.net is home of Steathbot a host channel "Bot" made for Blizzards Battle.net. Not only are they intolerant of people who don't understand visual basic, it is nearly impossible for a person to navigate the forum who is unfamiliar with programs that use the language. Have you ever tried navigating Microsoft.com if you don't know much about the software being offered?
The thoosje.com home page is crowded i would offer a brief synopsis of your sidebar, xp optimizer, and vista tweak. with out the flashy images your not trying to "Sell" your product after all its free, if anyone has found it they were mostlikely looking for it. The less complex the the home page is, "the easier information can sink in", when I first visited and sometimes still do I use Google to search for what I'm looking for. its just pointless to scroll though all the posts trying to find the specific problem your having between the sidebar and the OS. Most forums have terrible search engines, and often the will come up empty, even if there are several posts regarding the information you are seeking- I don't know why this is. Make stickies of popular problems as easy to find as possible discourage cross threading, or anything that makes the task for moderators easier, such as the ability to delete or move threads. I've noticed that your "unanswered posts section is surprising large, most of the questions are redundant. It isn't impossible to help every one who has a problem. But you can do your best to answer the question as quickly and thoroughly as possible. The best quality of this forum are its members ability to have fun, joking and posting funny topics.
